GD topics

Hi, does anyone know the topics that were given for GD for the last two batches ?

AA350XWB 22nd May 2015 12:57

Guys just curious. What if someone doesn't have type rating from CAE?

Madhu 24th May 2015 03:25

GD topics

One was about MH370
the other topic is which type of government do you prefer honest and inefficient one or dishonest and efficient one

viman_chalak 24th May 2015 17:41

Thank you very much for sharing that info Madhu !

AA350XWB 27th May 2015 06:50

I just met a friend of mine who is going to Delhi for training for ground staff. She said there are 4 other people with her who are pilots and they too are gonna be working as ground staff for 6 months and then maybe get to fly a plane.

Is it true? We have to work as ground staff before sitting in the right seat of the Airbus?

aer_bourne 27th May 2015 11:56

Absolutely not. You don't need to work as ground staff unless you applied for that position

AA350XWB 27th May 2015 14:10

Oh Okay.:ooh:

kt2686 29th May 2015 04:35

Quest asked in an interview

One of my friend was asked... Ig you fly from delhi to muscat on single engine where normally you fly twin engine (A320)... in which case you will consume more fuel..?

kt2686 29th May 2015 04:37

If u r asked

Someone was asked.. How good are you on controls..? what should be the acceptable n realistic answer...

From where does one prepare for the aptitude questions?
What all topics are to be covered(regarding aptitude)

nihaal71 26th Jun 2015 08:54

Cass for all candidates will be done within the next 2 months

Madhu 1st Jul 2015 11:35

For aptitude try PAT on facebook. It does not cover spatial reasoning and mirror images. These topics can be done from RS Aggarwal

FULLMILITARYPOWER 1st Jul 2015 14:31

guys ive heard that only a very few are getting eliminated at the cass round and almost all are progressing onto the gd pi stage. can anyone elaborate as to whether that's true? how many are they looking to finally hire from 449 shortlists from written round?

Indigo Call letters for Freshers

Can anyone suggest bout CASS ?? How important is it to indigo? My cass didnt go as well as i expected.. I didnt crash or sthn.. Did clear both the missions with avg answering of the ques.. And what is their passing criteria to cass..?

AA350XWB 18th Aug 2015 07:22

Indigo finalizes 250 A320Neo order.

IndiGo finalizes $26.55 billion purchase of 250 new Airbus A320 Neo jets - The Economic Times

Airbus to convince SpiceJet to buy A320 too.

I read somewhere that it takes 12 pilots for 100% utilization of A320 so that's 3,000 upcoming jobs for pilots. :)

aviator3233 18th Aug 2015 12:06

any news about the next CPL exam this year ??

Phoenix911 18th Aug 2015 20:10

Any CPL exam from 6E is unlikely as they have 450 people to process this year...that would stretch till next summer I suppose...still fingers crossed and keep studying as CAE can conduct exam anytime before to keep their stocks up.
As for CASS; it's really not advisable to play that episode in your minds as things would look bleaker with every repetition...prepare for the next round.
Anyone have any news for PI/GD...are they happening?

VT-delta 19th Aug 2015 12:37

cpl vacancy

hello,guys

i am new user to pprune post/forum.

my dgca cpl/ir is under process,

can anyone say when next indigo would be comming up ? this year or jan/feb16 ?
some one mentioned , these 400 will stretch cass n all till nxt summer.

but noone looks to comment on that.

would it be good to have 320tr for this vacancy or it will make it narrower!

someone please shed these out for other unemployed people.

cyrilroy21 25th Sep 2015 01:17

Type rating loan

Guys any idea about the process of securing an education loan for type rating on the basis of LOI provided by IndiGo?
I went to SBI head office in Delhi to inquire about the same. They said that as this is not a degree or a certificate course, they cant provide me an education loan.
Even Cradila (HDFC) is not entertaining people with LOI.
Any bank/financial intitution that can provide a loan for TR on the basis of LOI?

speagle1 7th Oct 2015 15:27

To the best of my knowledge, banks won't give an educational loan. But personal loan is possible.... Higher interest rates though.

I hope after or when they're about to be done with the interviews of the 2015 candidates.

jockey69 1st Dec 2015 18:52

news is that around 25 JFOs are being inducted every month.

windcutter 17th Dec 2015 08:46

Sorry to be off track but I really need this info...I hold a foreign PPL and since we cannot get jobs outside India, I am thinking to join IGRUA or NFTI and get campus or contract of Air India/Indigo respectively. Both the institutes said I have to start from scratch and get my Indian PPL and then CPL and go on with the course from day 1 just like everyone else. From rules perspective it seems right but from money and experience perspective I am at the loosing end. I have few options/questions, I would like to know if they are feasible?-

1) Should I study on my own from one of the Indian flying clubs and save money and try through open market with self sponsored type rating?
2) If IGRUA/NFTI then can i at least maintain my own log book so that I can start with Indian PPL afresh but don't loose my hours from old PPL? Is it even possible/legit/legal to keep foreign license details and again get a new one here? Or conversion is compulsary?
3) Would I loose all those PPL hours completely if institutes disagree to maintain my own logbook?
4) It will surely create hassles while creating computer number for theory papers. Since it asks for flying exp hours and license details till today, I am confused what to put.
5) I recently got my Indian class 2 medical done. If you get into any of these institutes what would be the ideal period to get your class 1 done so as not to waste any months of class 1 validity while preparing for theory.

Delay in A320 neo deliveries

With the new A320's Neo's facing technical issues and deliveries delayed, chances of remaining JFO's being inducted anytime soon seems quite remote. Any news, anyone?
