Indigo

hi cyrilrol,

i would like people that is only excel sheet with contact name which was sent in which looking for 3 or may be 4 details or Is ther any other excel sheet they will be sending?

flymore787 15th Jan 2015 00:45

So what's different between this and the previous indigo attempts?

Is it expected to be the same pattern of the exams?

Did they always check for aptitude and physiological behaviour?

cyrilroy21 15th Jan 2015 01:33

@Vevz

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to say but they only sent 1 excel sheet and it asks for quite a few details inlcuding total time , ME hours , expiry date of licenses etc

@flymore787

No major changes as far as the written is concerned except this time everyone who is eligible will be called

The aptitude and physiological profile is done as part of the second phase i.e CASS only after passing the written exam round which is an Aviation Knowledge test

capt.ace 15th Jan 2015 07:26

how many rounds are there in indigo recruitment.First written then CASS,are there any other.

soulreaver4 17th Jan 2015 13:35

I've been getting varied responses to whether having a DGCA ME rating is necessary or not. Could someone please clarify?
The ad quoted from CAE states " Indian DGCA issued CPL or higher license with Multi Engine Instrument Rating "
My understanding of that is that a ME rating on an FAA license would meet the requirements.

cyrilroy21 17th Jan 2015 21:33

@capt.ace

After written and CASS there is GD and personal interview

The GD and interview take place on the same day . GD is not an elimination round like it is in Jet airways but they do consider your performance when they decided whether to hire you or not

@soulreaver4

They expect you to have the ME - IR endorsed on the DGCA CPL and they specifically ask this in the excel spreadsheet they to be filled and replied while deciding to short list you for the exam

We will conduct the examination at 4 locations namely; Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

aviator3233 11th Feb 2015 10:28

Is there negative marking in the exam ??

dragstar 12th Feb 2015 22:58

Ques: The lift coefficient (CL) of an aeroplane in steady flight is 0.42, increase in angle of attack of 1 degree increases CL by 0.1. A vertical up gust instantly changes the AOA by 3 degrees. The load factor will be?

Answer: 1.71

How?? Can someone explain with reason / calculation?

avl998 13th Feb 2015 05:57

Hey

Well the question says u r in a steady flight so I assume lift equals weight. That means cl which is 0.42 is also the value for my weight and den since d angle of attack increased by 3° the cl becomes 0.72 but my weight remains 0.42 so load factor is 0.72/0.42=1.71 I hope u get it.

piston2jet 13th Feb 2015 06:09

NOTE - Load Factor in Straight & Level Flight (SnL) = 1

The Question says - Increase in Angle of Attack (AoA) of 1 degree increases CL by 0.1. Therefore change of 3 degree AoA changes CL by 0.1 X 3 = 0.3
CL in SnL = 0.42
CL on experiencing Vertical Gust = 0.42 + 0.3 = 0.72
Now Calculate the % increase in Load Factor (LF) .72/.42 = 1.71
Therefore the increment in LF from SnL is 71%
New LF =( 1 + ( 71% X 1 )) = 1.71

Hope it helps.

What should a Co-Pilot do if caption is smoking in cockpit and co-pilot is a non smoker?

grandfather 18th Feb 2015 07:05

Dunno how a 'caption' smokes, however........ Options: 1. Say a mental thanks that you will get to the left hand seat earlier than if 'cap' had not smoked 2. Carry a clothes-line peg and use it on your nose 3. Open the window 4. Pull down the oxygen mask and breathe BUT FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, DON'T PREACH TO THE 'CAP'!! (Pls excuse if that was a serious question......just thought to lighten the mood before the all important 22nd Feb!!)

200hp_stall_freak 18th Feb 2015 16:59

300 people to be finally selected from this batch !! Study hard everyone ! 70 % job done after written, trust me thats how I felt when I got my LOI!! All the very best! :ok:
