Actually you have no choice on MPL or CPL as both pages will lead to the same application pool. KA will allocate you to the respective program that they are dealing with at that moment.

I believe you are in the DA 16 pool rather than MPL. I got a frd receiving call from KA few days ago for DA 16's aptitude test scheduled in early July (if memory serves me right he had the initial test in April).
Thanks Chanteur, as you said your friend was taking his initial test in April, and receive their call back for next stage on two days ago. But what I remember they said we should wait for sex weeks for their reply. So which means I still have chance to the next stage, right? Please advice.

As you said your friend did his initial test in April, and got the invitation for the aptitude test in two days ago. But if my memory is correct, they said we have to wait for six weeks to their reply. So, that mean I still got chance for it, even I have been waiting for more than 7 weeks without any rejection. Isn't it?

KA DEFO

Hi,

Has any one who has completed this years DEFO selection got any info on the final Dragon interview and sim ride? I've got mine coming up in August.

On the invite letter it states that I've got a "technical" interview, any idea how technical it gets? Bearing in mind I fly Boeing and not Airbus, do they still ask type specific questions?

Any one joined up this year on the DEFO, how's the type rating and being in KA?

Cheers.

And Then 4th Jul 2012 08:39

I was told a DEFO left already. Unsure of the details.

flyercct 18th Jul 2012 12:01

krislamb, i did my IT on 9th May too and my AT on 6th Jul.

I just got the call days ago and will be going the first interview on 26th Jul.

How about you?

micmicll 18th Jul 2012 14:18

Good luck!:ok:
I was first invited for IT on 1st Aug, and soon follow with an email telling me to disregard the pervious email. Guess they found out I am in Australia and give me a test in Melbourne instead.
I guess we are in the same batch (for the selection process at least), do you have any idea whether we are going for the CPL or MPL path?

Clish 18th Jul 2012 22:00

CPL process

MPL's were done couple months ago

chrislikesblue 19th Jul 2012 13:51

krislamb 20th Jul 2012 18:35

Dragonair (KA) recruitment?

Flyercct, I still haven't got any invitation yet, but how is your IT was doing? I honestly did well on the both part of Oxford test, but the Ka listening and numerical test was not doing well.

Hi I got a question what happen if I miss the initial testing dates for DA16 . ... how far back would I get push back?

long story short, I applied 2 months ago and I am currently 2 weeks away from completion of my MBA degree. Got an email for an Aug 1st test date in Vancouver, but I wouldn't make it. They offered me to take the test on Aug8th in Hong Kong, I still can't make it due to school. By the way I am currently in California.

I was really hoping the process would start in September or October, but they already emailed me that they will not host any initial test during that time.

Dunno what to do at this very moment, as I am cramming up a lot for my last MBA class. I even told my friends, if I can be a pilot I don't mind dropping out of the program, however is just an initial test.

Thanks for any advise in advance.

I had a similar situation last year as well. Received an invitation email from cx for initial interview half way through my master, I decided to prospopne the interview until I graduate, which would be in mid 2012. (I.e. NOW!)
The choice was relate very simple. The MBA you are doing now is about to finish, meaning that you almost got this one in hand. On the other hand, although the chance of having an interview is tempting, but it will be available again next year, or even sooner. I think it will be a better choice to finish off the master, and then proceed to the next interview slot, whenever it maybe, it will be there's waiting for you.
Besides, you will have a safety net ( a MBA) even if all things goes wrong (touch wood).:oh:

jimsmitty01 25th Jul 2012 10:26

Finish your Masters! Don't be pressured into the interview, there will be another one soon. If they have accepted you for an interview now, then there is no reason why they won't in the future. Especially with some work experience and an MBA on your CV!
