What? Now they send out the initial A and B at the same time? Which means you don't have to pass the technical test to be invited to the HR interview?

If you apply from outside of HK they will sometimes do an 'expedited process' where your initial A and B dates are close together so that you don't need to fly to HK twice.

Only if you are successful with your initial A will you be able to attend initial B.

Without further info to the contrary I'm guessing this is what is occurring with Yunny's application, especially as his/her location is set as London.

I don't get it. It seems KA offers a much faster track to JFO than Cathay, but why are you all crowding the green brush wing? Is it purely because of the brand or what?

You will bewa second officer for 5 years. None of that time counts in FAA land. Training in Australia is around 3-6 months and tou will have to pay back a huge amount of money if you leave early.

you mentioned Second officer and also Cadet Program, which one exactly are you referring to. Those are two different program at cathay pacific from what I know. The cadet program are basically for HK Residents who doesn't have no Pilot license (Ab-initios) and thats the folks that need to repay money, which comes out of the salary im told. The SO position however are for CPLMEL holders and if selected its about 8-10 weeks of training in FTA adedaile and don't think you have to repay anything. Leaving the company before upgrading to Jr. FO which could take between 3-5 yrs wouldn't be a sensible thing to do becasue you wouldn't have logged any hours and like pilotchute said, its a no no in FAA Land. How many stages are in this process now?

From Canada and invited to initial A. I assume they will give me another date to fly back to HK for initial B and so on.
