YVR and YYZ F/O Rosters

Hi folks,

I am currently working for a large short haul airline in Europe, and am considering applying to Cathay as a DEFO should they recommence hiring through that route.

I realise that getting an outbasing of my choice could take a very long time, but would someone be so kind as to send me an F/O roster for YVR or YYZ. (I have the right to live and work in Canada). In fact a Hong Kong roster would also be handy!

Hey there

Don't worry about getting a base at the moment if you get hired. All bases have been frozen pending get it sorted out. As far as hiring- no idea. They are still toying with international cadets. Time will tell on that one.

If we do start hiring DEFO's and DESO's then you'll start hearing about it. until then I suggest staying where you are until things improve here.

I was just after an idea of how the rosters look, with regards to the amount of days off you would get in a block, time off downroute etc.

What would a typical month entail? 3 trips to HK?

Are you serious? anyway. YYZ-HKG to Colombo and back. gone a long time from home. pay sucks, and there are no more DEFO's. Too many current FO's and SO's want YYZ and YVR anyway. Guess what, they are ahead of you! Back to the original question - get a clue!
