yes i understand that i would only be required to speak english(being Australian that should not be a problem), cantonese is just a personal interest that may or may not helpl me later on.

No, get your education and then apply. You have a lot of years left before you retire. An awful lot can happen to the Airline industry in the mean time.

Cool!

Hi Peak Tram Driver,

I don't get onto Pprune much any more since I left HK, but I reckon you have the best callsign.

Take a walk down Reclamation Street for me.

747aus, I know of a person over 32 previously who was in the cadet programme so 26 isnt too old. They average around 24-30, if your too young they dont think your mature enough for it anyway.

Im 28 and re applying this year

Hey guys/gals

Age is not really a problem. I got into CX on the DESO program when I turned 35. For the iCadet program I feel age shouldn't be a problem if you under 35. Hey it worked for me.

Good luck

Maturity surely is an important aspect that CX Rec.Team looks for in a candidate , because that maturity will reflect throughout their career at CX but more importantly it is one of the keen qualities you want in a pilot.

But there have been Cadets who start at 18 - 21 !!
