guys please make a note

yes the pass % in the written has gone up quite high.....but mind you the pass % in the interview has come down at the same rate if not even more.......just passing the written is not enough and recently they have made the CASS round as an elimination round as well.

the day i had my interview 9 were on the rolls....but only 3 got through

fortunately i was one of them.

so all the best to all who have passed.........and there is allways next time for those who didn't.

cheers

And the worst part is if you fail at the interview stage you can never ever apply with them again

@speedbird

WHen was your interview ? Also do they use the GD stage as an elimination round ?

the interview was in august . The GD is before interview on the same day. well i dont think the use GD as an elemination round but yes it does count towards your selection.......yes its not as intensive as the jet GD where u have about 5 rounds but rather its just one round.

SpeedBird

Have they changed pattern of CASS now?
What was given in the CASS round - Topic's/worklog's or skills?

Would be helpful to all if you can explain the CASS round a bit more.

well they send you a candidate handbook by e mail........one just has to go through it to have an idea of what CASS is all about?

basically its an assessment tool to measure the overall capability as a pilot.

which includes psychometry, mathematical skills, Perceptual Speed & Accuracy, English and speaking skill, reasoning skills like verbal, abstract and non verbal , , memory (short and long term), basic CRM skills, managing a lot of stress and a whole lot of different skills a good pilot should have. most of these skills are tested while flying on a simulator and thats where its gets difficult.

at the end of the day.. 375USD well spent ...no matter you pass or fail.

SpeedBird

That was detailed explanation of CASS.
So no one fails in the CASS then it means the whole CASS worklog is discussed/assessed in Final Interview by the interviewer?

One more query :- Do they bombard candidates on SIM seat with un usual level of stress related work/skill test while analyzing candidates body language coupled with emotional state. After done with rating, in CAE SIM checks what kind off SIM routines/procedures do we need to show our skills ?

CASS

Hi guys,

Does anyone have an idea about how far is the cae test center from the Bangalore airport?

Those who have been there, could you suggest any good/cheap hotels nearby..?

Hotel at banglore

I had stayed at this hotel during my CASS

Hotel Narayana Comforts
Address:
No 9/9,Yelahanka,Yelahanka New Town,Bangalore,560064
Phone:
+91-80-28462751, +91-80-28462752.

They gave me a student discount,so the amount was around 900Rs for one day.The rooms and service both are good.....its situated on the Nh7 highway so the time to Cae will be about 25mins by taxi......the hotel also arranges taxi.My experience was good at this hotel.......I hope this will help someone.......good luck for CASS.

To the guys who have got call letters for the examination so far, the cae page says to fill up the 'online application form' to start the screening process, now I am assuming this refers to your profile/apply to this program on that page.

Or is there some other link that seems to elude my eyes?

@ SaabCapt

@ SaabCapt , I had posted this earlier .....here is a place for around 200 - 300 Rs

I was in the same situation , i was able to find a near by lodge which is pretty close to the center ,the place is called R.V LODGE ,2ND FLR, DRV Plaza, NR Old Bus Stand, B B RD, Devanahalli, Bangalore - 562110 . i think i paid them 300 Rs for a non a/c room , and they have auto's available near the bus stop nearby so that you can make it to the center in the morning take about 15 mins ,thier website is R.V Lodge & Function Hall , there are hotels near the airport but in the range of 2000 - 3000 Rs aswell . Hope this helps and All the best for your CASS !!
