Hi.
Please can anyone answer the 3 questions below?
1) Can anyone let me know if it is possible to re apply to CX after a failed stage 2 interview?
2) If so, how long must you wait?
3) Does anyone know of anyone who has been given this second chance and as a result, are now working for Cathay?

Hi everyone,
Its been almost exactly a year since I was in HK for a stage II attempt. I have submitted my new application and have been waiting for sometime.
Emailing HR, they said they have so many applicants this yearand, only few are granted a re-interview.
I'm still very hopeful and looking forward to a second attempt.

oh that's no good, as I am planning to re-apply by end of Oct too.
I also read from the paper that CX has only a few cadet places left for this year..

IMHO, the actual improvement is just as important as what you have to show for it. For example, if you say you have more passion for flying now, how do you prove it? It might be hard for them to believe you unless you have some actual credentials that could speak for themselves - taking some flying lessons? Going to PPL ground school courses? Hope you get my drift.

I'd take that with a pinch of salt... the article was written in August and I know someone who was just admitted into the course beginning in December, and another starting in October. You never know with these things, so let's just worry about things that are within our control.

well~~I guess it applies to any jobs or even life in general.....luck, timing and of course your skills.
I had an opportunity to fly C182 to build up hours before but it came at the wrong timing, I've got the skills to do it, just not enough luck. I do believe tho, determination is the thing that's gonna bring us thru at the end of it.
