Vheem,

Where did you get the sampling? I will have my AT next week, but I have no idea what it is going to be, what are the three tests you guys mentioned? the 2 in 1, 3 in 1 and flying in square... do you mind giving me some idea and how I should prepare for it?

Bearbear8888, I don't quite understand what you mean by "get one more miss", would you mind telling me more about that?

Do you mean that the voice read 499,494,489,485 (interval change to 4) and I should but forget to press the button here, then the voice keep reading 481, 477, 473.....if I forget to press the button at 481, then I will be counted as missing 2 times, therefore I should press the button whenever I find the interval changes?

Thanks a lot!

if you didnt press the button in time when the sequence changed, you get one miss, and if you press the button again after this miss is counted, you get another miss

Thanks bearbear8888,

That is if voice reads 499,494,489,485,481,477,473,471,469...

If I miss to press at 485, but press only once at 481 or ever press at 477 <--it only counts 1 miss?
then I continue and press at 471 when I find the interval chage, then just bingo, nothing happen and keep going....

hey dagger19,

You get notified by a phone call. If you don't make it, they will send a rejection letter by email.

Since I was an overseas applicant they made sure contact was made as soon as possible because I had to go back to Australia on the 25th of November.

Waiting for their email or call for the second interview!

P.S By the way, I have been reading the posts regarding the structure of the tests. Don't try to KNOW whats in it, rather hone in on your maths, english, and iq tests skills. Thats how I did it. Buy books and read them!

Yeah I had the initial interview yesterday (2nd December) and it was very standard, all HR related questions. They said they'd let me know within 2 weeks. Does anyone know when the 2nd interviews would be held?

hey guys, yea i had my interview on the 2nd of december as well. found out today and im through to the ICAO english test. so thats all good. got a call and you get it confirmed by email.

urm well it was pretty standard HR interview. They ask a lot about your resume and why your want to be a pilot etc etc so remember what you said when you applied! Other then that be confident and enthusiastic about it all. Nothing technical came up though so as long as you know your reasons why and you can talk about yourself you will be fine!

got some questions regarding the AT:

1. for the three figures, am i supposed to press the keyboard numpad 2 in case there are two figures matching the voice? or using the mouse to the click the figure?

2. for the number series and the 2-in-1 and 3-in-1, if the difference has changed, do i have to press the trigger on joystick or keyboard?

thanks mate for the tips!

harumi;

1; for the three figures you use the mouse to click the correct number if i remember right. this will be explained. (it tells you what you are using before each task be it the joystick key pad or mouse)

2; 2 in 1 and 3 in 1 ... for the number count down you press the button on the joystick at the top of it. for the shapes (3 in 1) you use the key pad both colours and numbers.

Hope that helps

oh, got some more question abt AT.

for the first cross centering exercise, when the cross deviates to the left, should i push the stick left or right?
and also if it deviates to the bottom, should i pull the stick back or push it forward?

for the irregular shape exercise, is it timed or not?

great appreciation for help

for the cross exercise;

if it deviates left you have to counter it by pushing the joystick right, its very much like flight sim or flying a plane. i.e. if the plane gets pushed left by the wind you want to keep it straight so you have to counter it and push right. pushing the joystick forward makes the cross go down and pulling back makes it go up.

for the shape exercise; do you mean the one where you have to find a shape in two puzzles? if so yes this is a timed exercise i think it was 30 seconds? but thats more then enough time, i didnt bother using the whole 30 seconds, the shape is only in the picture ONCE so as soon as you see it you press your answer (thats what i did). choices are in the left picture, right picture, nither, or both. so its pretty simple. i wouldnt waste time on it. if it doesnt stick out it probably isnt there.

any more ?

jason

Does anyone know what kind of test does Dragon Air test you for the Pre-qualified cadet program??? Is the selection process and test very different than the regular cadet program??
