Advice for secondary school grad?
Hey Guys,
I'm about to graduate from Secondary school early next year, is it advisable to go to University first or go head straight in to the cadet?

Re: Secondary graduate
Hongkongkid,
Why not apply for both. I would assume Cathay wants the most passionate and competent cadets for their program. You seem to be on the fence between one or the other so just make sure you demonstrate maturity and dedication if/when you do get an HR interview.
Also, would recommend you try to enroll in an engineering/physics/computer science related field of study as those teach you critical thinking skills quite applicable to being a modern day pilot.
Good luck.

It saids SS is a minimum.
The competition is fierce, there are people with working experience and university degree(s) and postgraduate degrees...
Things people learnt in uni might not be related to aviation but the interpersonal and intellectual skills are too valuable for you to skip.
Better enjoy uni life first if you can

Question about the medical questionnaire.
Hello everyone,
I wait for 3 weeks after my stage 1b. I expected that I was passed because "no news is good news" but I was rejected finally. Is it possible that I failed my medical questionnaire since I filled I was a smoker but already quitted? Or...it's just the normal procedure of cx to reply within 3 weeks, no matter what result you get?
Thanks.

just had my 1b today, the interview last 30mins only, and they didn't ask me anything questions regarding the company background or to go deeper into how i get started with aviation/why you but not others etc.
I wonder if it has anything to do with my personality and reasoning test. Let's say u completed these 2 tests first and then have the interview. However you couldn't past those 2 tests, will they decide that asking you more questions is just gonna be a waste of time and try to end the interview asap?

TT course
Hey guys,
Any word on upcoming interviews for the TT course for international applicants not possessing a HKID? I've heard rumours some people have been contacted with regards to upcoming interviews, or if this is false information it's got to be ramping up soon? Any truth to this rumour?

just some normal stuff. eg. why should we hire you/what aspect do u want to improve
btw, is it true that you can only apply for it twice? after ur second attempt and u're permanent blacklisted and even though u can login and update the application, they won't bother to give u another chance?
