Application Update Questions
Just a couple of clerical-type questions...
I last updated my CX app over a year ago, does anyone know if my PRN number would still be valid? Or should I submit an application from scratch?
Also, when guys talk about emailing their info, are you referring to sending just their CV, or do they scan in their completed CX update form and send it as an attachment? What document format? (Word, pdf, etc..?)
Any info appreciated, I can work with virtually any document type, just curious what would be the best (read: quickest!) way of doing it!

When i was updating i got the electronic copy of the update form, edited it in WORD, attached to an email and sent that.
When time for another update, you only have the hours and experiences to fix.

Thanks for all the info.
I actually did an interview in Hong Kong in 2001, was not successful. In the interim I have worked a couple of other flying jobs, most recently on the B737, about 5500 TT. I did not update my application for a period of time because I was unemployed for about a year - nothing to update! But I know some folks have gotten on the second, even third attempt, so that is my hope.

Keep in mind for current applications, there is still a hiring freeze in effect (except for cadets, apparently) dating back to late 2008. Some of the people who are in the current hiring pool from late 2008 who sent e-mails for an update, have received replies that there is no change to their plans for no recruitment in 2009 and early 2010.
