524GT

I was under the (possibly misguided) impression that most of the 744 pax jets were powered by 524HTs, not GTs.

Yes HT's, but "de-rated" to GT's for performance calculations. That's my understanding.

Your understanding is correct.

The airplane is powered by four Rolls Royce RB211-524H-T engines, each rated to the -524G engine rating of 58,000 pounds takeoff thrust.(FCOM 1)

Includes the -400Fs as well.

Mayday.

Just reverse engineering the 99...........(as mentioned, A330 is the 100th due late Aug)

I have one missing

21 x 400 pax
6 x 400F
7 x 200F
3 x BCF (2 online & including the one due in sept 06, not yet operational but still on the books!)
5 x 777-200
12 x 777-300
26 x A330-300
15 x A340-300
3 x A340-600

Equals: 98

I assume the missing one is another BCF rego HUS (ex SIA) which brings it up to 4 x BCF's? Have they bought that one yet and is it in the factory too?

Thanks

Actually B-HUS and B-HUR will be ex-South African 747-444BCFs. The HU series because they are RR powered. The HK series are for the PW powered ones only.

Does anyone have the serial number/line number for B-HKH?

HUS as you suggested, it's ex SAA(RR) and is currently at TAECO.

Hi,

I'm just curious about why CX convert those pax 744s into BCF. Is it just simply because it is "cheaper" to convert one than getting an used 744F in the market?

any help would be appriciated
