Hekokimushi,
I know I made joke out of it in the other thread but please it is an APTITUDE test not an AMPLITUDE test. Amplitude will be explained to you in great detail during your ATPL Radio Aids study!!!!!!

good luck

hi Cavallier vbmenu_register("postmenu_2488913", true);

so do you know what kind of standard those airline (e.g. KA) is looking for when a cadet candidate performs the APTITUDE test? (e.g. PILAPT) ? Should they score nearly perfect in every section? or just above average is fine?

Rakayl

when will be your test, and when do u submit your application?
well, for the numeric reasoning test, i think as many others suggested, you have to be very very quick. No extra second. Keep your time and move on if you find that question is too difficult. Try to think of a smart way to get the answer, instead of computing everything completely (you won't have enough time)
for english, good listening skills is definitely required, while at the same time, short term memory, memory something while you are still keep on listening on other things, are the required skills. Be aware of the precise pronounciation of similar words (or phases). I suppose they are following UK tone.

Anyone know or can share what would be the procedure for KA to let you konw whether you are in (or rejected)? for CX, i know they will give rejection letter within a week (they are very quick in rejection). but for KA, i dunno. So far, i didn't receive any update for some time, is it a no news a good news? (worrying day by day .....)

u mean grad from Adelaide for KA (not CX)? I thought cadet in KA have more chances to work and promote faster at the beginning comparing to CX

Smallwing your mates from December 2005 look like they will be joining in 2 batches over the next 6-8 months. Remember resources are not as vast in KA as they are in CX. The good news is that the cadets actually FLY the aircraft and do not keep the seat warm for someone else while the a/c is in the cruise.

First, thanks ngkaka for your information although I didn't make it ontime to read your message before I went for my test. Honestly now that I read your hints I found out I understand the hints you gave me only after I do the test. I just did the best I could have, on the listening part I don't think I did very well, grammar part is alright and for the math part I have a similar idea with yours but not exactly the same. I am 100 percent sure it is impossible and I don't think they expect you to actually finish the test, although I agree with you that you should use "smart" way to help you out on the test because there IS "smart" way but honestly tell you if you can't think of any smart way on that question within 15 seconds then just go ahead and do it in the slow way, I only finished 50% of that test but I am sure all of them are right. DO NOT guess the answer because after you do the calculation you will know for a 5 digits answer the answer is off by somewhere around 50 so that is less then 1% different so don't guess just do it. One more thing, before the math test actually starts the HR person will remind you "If your answer is wrong, we do not take off marks." I think that is a very important instruction since for sure you won't be able to finish it you have to prepare yourself right at the second they told you to stop writing is time to fill up all the reminding questions. You can Mark my word for it, don't even have the idea that "Oh just because you can't finish it doesn't mean I can't." I am 100% sure IF anyone can finish the test before times up, that person is either cheating with a calculator or he estimate most of the answers.

One thing I have to agree with ngkaka, the waiting period makes you feel like hell. I have waited for only 3 days and I already feel like hell, feel like the movie "The Ring".............."You have seven days." because after first test they will contact you within a week if you are good for the second one. Luckily I just got a call 5 minutes ago that I am in for April 18. Anyone else?

Rakayl, Congradulation!

Pity that you didn't read my msg before u did the test, but anyway, u can still make it!

well, to share with you about the numeric test, yes, it's very difficult and time limited. ehm... i think you must say i'm cheating coz you are 100% sure (just kidding ) actually i finish all answers, certainly not 100% ensure all are correct (i think most are 80% and some are 60%) I think for some questions, you won't have time to "calculate" all the results and the exact figures, but you can use some feeling about the figures, or by elimination, or by substition, or by "intelligient guessing". For some questions, there are some ways to "select" the most appropriate answer from the given limited "choices", instead of "calculating" the exact figures from a complete solution set. Again, really very difficult to give perfect answers within the limited time. What I say is to use time "wisely" to compute the answer for some questions, and "guess" the answer for some other questions, so as to increase the probability of getting a higher mark.

For the waiting time, yes.... u know, for written to aptitute test, it takes 4 days to a week. That's fine for me. But after the aptitute test, I have been waiting for about 4 weeks! You can tell how suffer I'm Originally i think it shall take 2 weeks time, but now, it's 4 weeks already... no good nor bad news... I know the following interview is at the end of April, but I suppose they get the result of aptitude test immediately, and just take "some" time for them to process...... anyway, keep waiting...

Like I said if you can finish the test you care cheating or guessing, but well I did 50% of the test they are 100% right but you do 100% of the test but having 80% right that means yours is better hahaha.

Can you also give some detail information about the aptitude test? By the way how come we are the only one that actually did the test? No one else wanna say something?

Hi Rakayl,

Yeah! I also have the same question! It seems no body else here is applying KA CPP, or has anything to share about that?

for Aptitude test, try to search for "pilapt" test, it is a very famous test used by many airlines and airforce to test the capability of a candidate to learn flying!

Good Luck!

Hi friends. Really pity that I join this site so late. It's really have lots of useful information...

Know that some of you have been assessed by KA in the first and second test of the CPP. I am glad to know that I am not waiting alone. I have my aptitude test taken last week, and is now waiting for their reply.

ngkaka, just wonder if you know how long has the applicant waited between the aptitude test and the invitation to the interview?
