Staffs from either company can't work for the other even if they quit. Under this condition, I assume that if also apply to the CPP. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

being a cadet. you are not actually employed for the company as far as i understand. any one can confirm that?
coz i thought only up on graduation of the CPP then they will give you a perm contract?? prior start of CPP, they give you a bond contract so if you grad from CPP and get hired, you must work for a min of a period?

am i thinking in the wrong direction?

According to Dragonair's application from, you're require to write you language skills. English, Cantonese, Mandarine (Spoken/Written) Basic/Good/Fluent. Does anybody knows if it's require to know chinese in order to apply for the CPP?

It would definitely an advantage if you know how to speak chinese. It is because of the company culture.

Affirm for not being employed by KA if you entered the CPP at this moment. The contract about the CPP is only a sporsorship for the cadidate to get the ATPL. However, once the candidate passed out the CPP and employed by KA, the candidate has to work for the company for around 5 years. The contract after CPP is a perm. contract recently.

More information about Pre-qualified CPP and CPP for KA, the application for CPP this year normally would be now till the very begining of 2006. Feel free to send in application (for both male and female) but it is much better to download application form rather than copying CX's one.
For Pre-qualified CPP, the first trial has kicked off. As the PreQ CPP only cover the ATPL and JTS, most likely KA would wait for the result and evaluate. Therefore no Pre-qualified CPP in the near time.

Comments on PPL for CPP, it will definitely an advantage. However, local student and PPL holder are being treated equally. Local student with strong aviation passion and aviation knowledge can definitely have chance to defeat the PPL candidates.

For those that hold CPL-Multi-IFR with 200 hr only, which category does they fit in?

They're over qualify in the CPP but under qualify for the DESO!!

Is this where the Pre-Qualify CPP kicks in? There's no application for Pre-Q applicants on both CX nor KA, is this only internal issue? hm....
