Initial interview Quiz

I am in the process of studying for my initial Cathay interview and I'm wondering if anyone out there can share some examples of the types of questions they had on the written exam prior to their interview. Not really looking for any answers just the kinds of questions to help direct my studying.

I've talked to a few people who have been recently hired and have been told nothing from the X,Y,Z book was on their exam or in their interview.

Any help would be apprieciated

I can't remember the questions I had as my first interview was back in march. With that being said use the search function for threads for january through march as a lot of info was posted then regarding the first interview. The tech quiz was a wide range of general info. I used "from the ground up" and HTBJ to study along with this forum and it did me quite well. I found the XYZ book a waste of money for the most part as it just repeats the info you can find elsewhere. Good luck.

From my experience, all of the books suggested were useless as majority of the questions were not as published. I read this forum, HTBJ, the AIM, Aerodynamics for naval aviators, researched wx and climatology and spoke w/ the good folks at pilot career center. The interview is a crapshoot, just pure chance on who is doing the interview that day. Good luck.
I was not selected to move on.
