Good Luck

I wish you good luck and safe travels. You are a great researcher, and know the direction you want to take.

Once you get your operation going, you should post your results here.

Regards.

You are really opening up a can of worms now.

How would you determine which pilots to trust with your life and your family's lives. Do you have the knowledge to know which one to pick?

I...

One other thing

$500K per year will buy you quite a bit of charter time on some nice jets and/or turboprops (for your short haul trips)

There are a lot of reputable operators in your area of the country. Their...

Info

In your original posts, you mentioned a purchase price of $2-3 million and an annual operations budget of $500K. Your research has shown you can purchase a lot of airplane in your buy range.

Your...

VP-BAT

A friend of mine operated VP-BAT. The SP's are actually one of the more expensive 747's to operate.

$500K annually, for the Qatari's, would not cover overflight, landing, parking, and catering...

I flew a VIP 727-100 out of the Middle East in the late 90's. 600 hours per year cost about $4M annually back then.

You seem to be in the right place at the right time. Every deal you mentioned, someone just died and just wanted to get rid of the planes.

Hope you continue to have good fortune and safe travels.

You may be right

Time might have been a factor. The previous owner may have needed the $400K to pay for the inspections that had just been done. :-) I just have not seen any G-III's go that cheap. Not saying it...

Well Said

It's been awhile since I operated the G-III, but wouldn't the Spey cores be worth $200K each? I would think the original seller could have parted it out for more than $400K just by selling the Speys...
