On my last reneal the DE told me that the exams...

On my last reneal the DE told me that the exams were going the JAR standard and the practical flight test the FAA route. Best advice is to get it done ASAP!!

Ask any ATC, the layer is not,will not ever be less than 1000' thick.

The previous post are correct....if you wind on QNH you wind on altitude and opposite if you wind off QNH!!
