A good buy

I found RANT to be v useful. Not just for passing the IR (I used to practice all my routes before flying them) but also for ongoing currency.

I consider it money well spent.

If you have the cash then it's easy peasy - stay in UK.

However, current exchange rate and lower costs mean that flying is half the price in USA. Quite a difference when you get to flying a twin...

I did it with spouse and small child. Lots of challenges but would do it again if I had the chance.

As far as I understand you can not do JAA I/R in USA - you need to take test in JAR-land.
