You almost certainly will NOT have the codecs. 'Tis another example of Greed. The company that were providing codecs for win 95/98/ME did not play Gate's game for XP, hence not all codecs shipped...

Be careful if you reinstall '98 however, as in the process it may remove all on the drive.
I think the best bet here is to remove the drive, set it as a slave and dangle it on your 'proper' pc....
