I am charged take off to landing + 0.2.

Waiting for a RyanAir followed by a Channel Express to land or take off at EGHH can take 20 mins sometimes, after which there is usually a queue of SEPs!

On my aircraft :D the maintenance costs are based on the flight time not the hobbs. I am told the reason behind this is because the engine / airframe are not being stressed during taxi and startup!
