Right then. Suggestions please for the next PPRuNe fly-in. September would be good so place your suggestions here.........
Also consider October, AerBabe can only make it then.

My vote goes to Sandown or Goodwood but I could be persuaded to do Sywell - decisive I know.

Additionally, we should have two weekends in mind given the vagaries of the weather, so how about September 21st, 22nd, 28th or the 29th?

When we have a reasonable response maybe we should put the venue and the date to a vote/poll so it is reasonably democratic!

Either way, I'll be there.

Regards, Sennadog.

Unhappy

I've already said September is no good for me. If everyone can make October I should be able to come though.

The problem with having a fly-in in the South is that for anyone up here it's expensive. Can't we find somewhere a bit more central? (like Sywell )

Goodwood

Alternatively, as I'm probably not going to have my licence by then - but will have done the test - anyone got a spare seat...?

Can we have somewhere with a hard runway please? AA5's are not brilliant grass machines especially on wet UK grass.

Other than that I'm up for it as long as it is late September and I can lift two peeps from Biggin Hill who will be treated to my crummy visual appraoches (only kidding - or am I )

cheers!
foggy.

I think Sywell is getting a tarmac runway...

I'm free (or at least value for money) September or October.

so Sywell and October is favourite for me.

I'll be in Russia 13th-22nd September, but after that is good for me. Sywell is good for me, and we've had one in the South already, so somewhere fairly central is a good idea. If I'm going I may have a spare seat in an R22.

I vote Goodwood. Why not add a poll with half a dozen SE England airfields on it.

How about Bidford Airfield, Bidford on Avon.

Very friendly airfield with good food and a bar with some accomodation on site and B&B near by. Could turn this in to a Bash, if people wanted to make a weekend of it.

Weston??? Just on the edge of Dublin city, and equally distant from North & South UK?

Ok.....ok.....I know....but it was worth a try

How about Wellesbourne? Central England, tarmac runway (not ideal for the Jodel, but I'll cope!). Friendly reception and an excellent cafe.

I'll second Weston, since it's no longer certain that it'll be there next year
Though given my status as SPL wannabe, it'll be a drive-in for me

Thumbs up

Hi All

I'd be interested in joining you guys if all are welcome. How about Blackpool, Isle of Man, or Kirkbride. If you want to venture a bit further, Campbeltown is a great place too (if you can afford the fuel to taxi down the runway!! - it's about the same length as LHR).

Providing I can book that shiny (not quite so) new 172 again, I'll be up for this.

Sywell & Wellesbourne sound like good suggestions - would be happy with anywhere within approx 1hr of EGTB (so Goodwood, Shoreham, Compton etc would all be fine if somewhere more Southerly was preffered by the majority).

Cheers
