OK to use ATPL material for PPL theory?

Do you think it would be OK to use ATPL books to study for PPL theory?

I have PPL theory books, but thought this would make it easier for when I study ATPL theory.

ALWAYS visit any FTO you are interested in. Even if it's on the other side of the world.

The travel costs are small compared to any training you do with them, and not visiting might end up costing...

Yes I can confirm that you are able to apply for an MEP and IR on the basis of a PPL with Class 2 medical.

Update : No reply still from the CAA ... but, the FTO in question has said yes to an MEP and IR with a Class 2 medical.

Though I believe that is an exception, rather than the rule for them.
