That's scary to look at, but I do not think that failure has anything to do with the control system being mis-rigged.

Shortening the input rod end is without a doubt to prevent servo and airframe...

Well the 412 "classic" has a smaller fuel system than the SP (5 cells versus 8) so I suppose it might be a bit lighter but I really can't imagine how it would outperform the newer bird with strakes...

That's a full load for sure, no empty seats. What exactly do you mean by "a lot"? the 212 is certified for 14 passengers with a single pilot.
