Aerial Spotting Techniques?

Trying to find sheep in a paddock from about 150ft agl in a 172. I am wondering if there are any techniques used for aerial spotting? cheers.

Easiest way to prevent this, just stop everyone taking photo's.

Is there such a thing as an ATC fee when you hire an aircraft and enter controlled airspace during the flight? makes sense that there would be, but would have though it would be something my taxes...

Ok, I too have taken over a year to complete the course. and the flight school(RTO) is saying that i am not eligible for the certificate as i took too long. seems a bit sus is all.
