Red face different opinion

It's always good to get different feed backs ,but still the question is how does the manufacturer come up with these rather Arbitary percentage ?(De-rate take off)

Max thrust should not be used during engine out take offs for de-rate for Vmcg consideration ; .however the airlines now must provide additional take-off performance charts as well as proper training...

Very practical! On the other hand, Airbus aircraft ,due to sde stick control philosophy and no feed-back from control surfaces ,seems to me more difficult to transit from flare to roll out....

Thanks for the history,but still there should only be speed or mach limitations here,and I didn't see Alt limitations on any boeing or MD aicraft ,only on airbus .

Alt limitaion for airbus gear extention

Thanks!There are limitations in FCOM limitation sections indicates A320 max Alt for gear extention is 25,000ft, A330 is 21,000ft. Handling qualities must be a major consideration,also I'm guessing...
