You don't need to do the whole atpl stuff but just the cpl ones.
You hold a ppl and at least 200 hours, class 2 medical and need to pass a flight assessment to see if you are ok or not....

Definitely you will need additional job(s) to be a FI.

Striaght flight and constant alt. X controls and ball out of balance, not very aerodynamic efficiency.
My answer would be power and ailerons. Power causes yaw, and ailerons for banking.
