I think i may have support on an aviation forum to say Ditch the HS2 project and you will have more than enough to compensate for loss on APD for domestic flights - use the plane not the train .

Flybe timetable currently has BHX-AMS 7 a day from 03/07/17.
However not yet currently bookable as it is greyed out
(BE103 being the extra one)
