To be honest its not that unbelievable, 14 aircraft, 2 on major, 3 or 4 on schedule Equalized Maintenance and few on rectification with non routine snags

In my Experiance Roughtly
25% of any Fleet are in Mainternance
25% Training for aircrew
and the rest on Ops

From that it is easy to work out...

But they have the Q but they are not Authorized or Current, the Q does not give Authorization to work on the Aircraft, the relavent OC Eng or SEngO gives the Auth

Without these Anti Deteriation Runs could not be carried out so the servicability of major flight...

At work there is a Story that a Sidwinder Equipped Nimrod shot down a Aircraft during the Falklands,

Is this Fact or another Liney Story?

If fact which Aircraft and what did it shoot down?
