Maybe inbound St Athan for maintenance? It does happen occasionally.

We saw it circle the Avon gorge/Southville area 4 times from our allotment in Ashton Vale, on Bristol.

As it was the first week we've had this allotment, plus the first good bit of warmth & sunshine this year (plus I'd pulled a sickie from work) - we assumed it was flying round to congratulate us!!

We would really love to know what it was doing though - it was such a fine sight on its own, i'm gutted I left the camera in the kitchen at home.

I hope someone has the real answer as to why it was in the area.
