PB4 if you're really serious abt taking up flying professionally, suggest you get it done in Australia. Unless you're training as a cadet pilot or MUST have training in Malaysia, you'll be better off...

Why not try Oz? If your friend intends to fly to Phil just to obtain a PPL, it might be worth taking a month's holiday to Perth, finish off the PPL in 3 weeks quick smart.

We've got great weather...

I'd suggest coming over to australia if you want to log some time. Perth'd be a good choice as its GA airport (Jandakot) is located quite near Perth International, plenty of opportunity...
