Well, whoever told me that one oil pump failed completely and the other one partially, was wrong then I guess...?

Anyway the the crew decided to land on a rig, fortunately this time there was one...

Incidents with S-92 Main gear box

1. Norsk Helikopter had one incident in the North Sea, early days of S-92, regular revenue flight, both MGB oil pumps failed, landed on a nearby rig.

Norsk Helikopter (now Bristow Norway) had a incident over water a while ago. Landed on a nearby rig, fortunatelly. Both oilpumps failed as far as i know.

All wrong. The pilots have a legallly binding CLA that expires in 2011, with a yearly pay increase. Slightly less than 20% though.

Wonder why someone want's you to believe otherwise....?

Norsk used to have Pumas in Bergen when the S-92 was AOG, and the only incidents I've heard about, are those I referred to.. :-)

Haven't seen any written info yet, it's suspected that oil leaked from the TR gearbox into the shaft which is supposed to be filled with grease lubricant, the grease might then have been washed out...

Just for the record, CHC Helikopter Service doesn't sign on contractors, however extra days are compensated with 920£ ++ for captains.
