There is a limit on the amount of current type rating for commercial operations for a very good reason - safety.

Perhaps someone could provide a link to the reasoned safety case made to support...

Very many thanks for that. The licence is unrestricted and not based on a foreign licence so I need to study the info you have given. At a quick glance I appear to meet the requirements...

I hold a current FAA PPL certificate with rotorcraft rating and would like to add the airplane rating(ASEL) on the basis of my current JAR PPL Aeroplanes(SEP). I guess only a Flight test is required...
