Airfield. ICAO codes

Hi folks after a brief conversation with my Son, I am trying to work out the Logic of Airfield codes so, for example , what is the logic behind EG prefix (can't be EnGland as Edinburg and Glasgow etc...

They occasionally come up on E-BAy but make sure you get the last one with a Cessna on the front (9th Edition) not the green or black ones and remember that some things have changed.

Interestingly you do not need any sort of civilian licence to fly with the space cadets, so it is dangerous to assume that just because an individual flies grob 109s that they can fly a civilian...

Try the Police as their training school is not so far away or Selly Oak Hospital has a helipad - I don't know if they'd let you use it

Saw it at Cosford - Pity the Sentry couldn't have spotted the idjit in the microlight that spoiled the Arrows display ... (oh not THAT again...) If there were any locals not aware of the airshow...

I think you'll find that the chip bag predates the beret - forage caps were certainly around in RFC days. Maybe puttees will make a comeback:eek:

Aren't the Reds the RAF's ONLY full time aero team?

Hi a small club that I belong to is looking for a part-time instructor to use three pa28s sitting on the ground at a really nice airfield in sunny Shropshire. Anybody interested?
