I dont hold much hope for evening flights - changed by 6pm Manchester to a 12 noon Liverpool and now waiting on the EasyJet App to beep with baited breath.

Starts 19th May and seems to be a daily lunchtime return flight - not too different from the old BA timings. Around £50 - £55 return which must be lead-in fares as seem a little cheap for Flybe.

You should be fine just using return leg -have...

You should be fine just using return leg -have done it a few times now. Ryanair deals with returns as two singles so no dependency on using the first leg to be allowed to travel on the return.
