Singapore is a Star Alliance carrier and KLM is not. Unless you're Amex Black Centurion, I believe you are at the mercy of the airline on which you are booked, not where you prefer to fly.

Had a bite at the LHR Terminal 3 location yesterday afternoon. Lovely smoked salmon plate with green salad, glass of the house brut. Was tempted by the oysters, but didn't go for it.
