Elections Canada

Who gives a damn?

None of the parties have expressed any interest in supporting commercial aviation - other than chartering aircraft for their campaigns.

All are a bunch of two-faced, lying, self-serving, mostly corrupt idiots and they can all stuff it.

Martin, Harper and Layton are flying on the Executive Airbus to a gathering in British Columbia when Martin turns to Harper and says, chuckling,
"You know, I could throw a $1000 bill out the window right now and make someone very happy."
Harper shrugs and replies,
"Well, I could throw ten $100 bills out the window and make ten people happy."
Not to be outdone, Layton says,
"Well I could throw a hundred $10 bills out the window and make a hundred people happy."
The pilot rolls his eyes and says to his co-pilot,
"Such arrogant asses back there. Hell, I could throw all three of them out the window and make 32 million people happy."

What if I haven't decided who to vote for yet?

If this candidate wins it could make for interesting times in Canadian aviation especially if he was given the top Transport job.

While I remain undecided less than 48 hours before polls open, I have to say that this is my favourite ad so far...

vote

I have already voted in the advance polls but the election has ignited rare emotional outbursts in this placid country and IMV if harper was given a long leash he would endanger our prosperity. Almost all of his tax proposals are designed to make the rich richer and hope the top down spending of their tax savings helps the economy. What a sad way to think.

Interesting that an election that no one wanted has generated so many emotionalisms however I voted Conservative in the advance polls although I’m a Liberal because we need a long over do political clean up.

I voted for the Green Party. I hope they get a couple of candidates elected. I not sure whether we will run out of oil before we destroy the earth as we know it or destroy the earth before we run out of oil.

I know this is controversial on an aviation forum but the consumption of aviation fuel only accounts for about 3% of the total oil consumption.

We have to progress beyond fossil fuels. We need to invest in wind power, hydrogen fuel cells, and technology that will be beneficial to all and the planet.

The Liberals brought us Kyoto , but we still haven't made any progress in reducing our emissions.

Well the Conversationist, umm... Convolutionist....umm...constipationist...umm... some kind of Con party won albeit with a minority government. I understand there is already a long line-up at the trough in Ottawa and Mulroney is planning a visit to empty out any leftovers.

As a newcomer to these shores and (thankfully) not yet permitted to vote, I'm left wondering how out of 32m people you came up with these clowns.

They say a people gets the government it deserves - in which case you must have been pretty bad lately.

Must be time to legalise the weed and get some clear-thinking for a change!
