Does anyone have news of the circumstances surrounding the death of one of the Kemble firemen this week?
Not mentioned on any form of local news, but story from other pilots say it was as a result...

Not sure if this helps but I visited by car Tulcea airfield last year and they had what looked like a fairly active level of GA and confirmed to me that they had AVGas.

Was closed as per the Notams for ALL flying including VFR. All French fields north of 48 north were ordered to close at around 1200 hrs Friday. Good news is now all open for VFR, normal...

See the French have closed all their airspace and their airfields as a result of , you guessed it, Volcanic Ash!!!
No GA in France, no open airfields! France joins our Nats or is Nuts

Guess there will be ash in similar quantities around the Icelandic Volcano and there was at the time around Mt St Helens. Not yet spotted the link.
