I arrived at Brize in early 67 The Base hanger was always refered to by that name and always occupied by Base servicing Squadron until at least when I left in late 69.

Tamworth is quite a nice area with plains on one side and the New England hills to the east.
It's a fairly typical Australian medium to large country town with rail links to Sydney and Brisbane....
