Hi Richter. the airline you work for has a policy clearly stated in the cabin crew manual (chapter 2 page 13) -
All passenger entrance doors that are open must either have stairs or an airbridge in position;
If any doors are closed, the escape slides must be armed.
Hope this clears things up for you.

Ladies and Gentlemen
I dont like to sound picky but your quote is not quite true (unless we have different manuals)
Page 13 , Section 2.14
'All passenger entrance doors that are open must either have stairs or an airbridge in position;
If doors are closed, the escape slides must be armed;
The ground area beneath the exits intended for emergency evacuation and slide deployment must be kept clear;'
It does not say if any doors are closed the escape slides must be armed and if the service doors are intended for use as emergency exits - then we already know that the ground beneath them is not clear - as that is where the fuel tanker is.
Therefore, I questioned the process as I it was not touched on in training.
Better to question it before anything goes wrong eh?
