A long sentence should be handed down to punish this arrogant and entitled individual, and to deter others.
Separately both these individuals should be banned from all airlines and from being at or near any UK airport.
SWISS should also be considering civil action against this pair in regard to any losses suffered.

Mitaire was given a four-month sentence suspended for one year after being convicted of assault by beating.
Ms Roberts, of Elswick Street, Imperial Wharf, south-west London, was asked to leave the courtroom when she made a disturbance, shouting: "Adolf Hitler is ruling England! Mussolini is ruling England!"
"When you were asked to leave the plane, instead of being sensible and saying 'I will make my complaint at a later stage', you escalated matters."
The court heard that the assault caused the following flight to be cancelled.
Judge Wright said: "A significant number of people were inconvenienced and you caused distress to the staff who had to deal with the incident on the day in question."
In a statement, senior crown prosecutor Arlene De Silva described the assault as a "shocking attack on a pilot" and an "unprovoked onslaught" in a "confined space".
Mitaire was also ordered to comply with a tagged curfew at her home address between 19:00 and 07:00 GMT for six months.
She was further ordered to pay £1,500 court costs, a £115 surcharge and £1,000 compensation to Capt Keel - a total of £2,615 - immediately, or serve three months in prison.

My prediction is that they will receive suspended sentences because they are women. The effect on children will be mentioned, it will be said that this is an isolated incident and in sentencing the judge will say they are very lucky to avoid jail. The reality is that it is quite hard for a woman to be jailed for violent assault unless she cause very serious injury and sometimes even then.
well she now has home arrest tagged for 6 months curfew 1900-0700 so that screws up her social life - she is a Kensington High St girl lol
This sort of misbehaviour (Miss Behaviour?) should be stamped on. Far too lenient a sentence. A ban on UK-AOC airlines for starters for several years and a lifetime on Swiss might help these 'ladies' consider the consequences of their actions .... at least for a few years' holidays.

I really hope they both spend some time in jail. We are talking about an argument over staff simply doing their job, followed by an assault on someone who was simply politely seeking to resolve the situation in a reasonable way. The assault resulted in actual injury, albeit minor and then to compound it they have forced a trial with the accompanying costs and inconvenience to all concerned rather than plead guilty.
I think 3 to 6 months in prison are appropriate.
My prediction is that they will receive suspended sentences because they are women. The effect on children will be mentioned, it will be said that this is an isolated incident and in sentencing the judge will say they are very lucky to avoid jail. Many people on here are calling for a custodial sentence, yet it has clearly been shown that short custodial sentences do more harm than good and have little deterrent effect. It means a person loses their job and therefore their livelihood and thus increases the chances of reoffending on release. In addition, it introduces first offenders to hardened criminals and in effect acts as a school for criminality.
I think a tough community service order combined with a home curfew would be the way to go.
