Yea, but Easyjet is probably one of the most careful airlines out there when it comes to expansion and take-overs so I’m sure they’ll have all the necessary stops in place otherwise there’s no deal. It is also my understanding that it won’t be a take-over as such, it will need to be a new company with the “old ways” gone.

At least they'd never have to worry about going broke. Tax payers are apparently happy to keep bailing them out every 24 months or so.

Looks like ezy pulling out may be the end of Alitalia. If the shrewd business people at ezy aren't interested then that probably sends a strong message to other potential investors as well.
