Air 2000 fo goes awol
Heard a rumour that an FO with air 2 bob was acting suspiciously during a flight and has since been uncontactable. Apparently the company did a background check and found his passport was invalid. Any takers?

Tsk tsk, you should know by now that any post saying anything slightly unflattering about Air 2 Bob will be binned immediately, surprised it lasted this long! <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
Hot rumour is that more will be invited back in the Spring - possibly on short-term contracts.
Master plan of six crews per aircraft down from
six and a half sounds fine to the accountants but
if the summer is busier than expected it will soon
all turn to worms.
Clearly inappropriate to speculate on the missing
co-pilot - the legal beagles would soon be on the
case !

beamer if what you say is true, then lets hope those invited back are invited back long term considering the disgraceful way they were shown the door. I hope the company got all its cleaning vouchers back! To those who were made redundant I would say, tell the company where to shove their short term contracts, a greater display of profiteering will never have seen the light of day before if they do go down that road. BTW I hope you all had a very pleasant christmas after your demotion notices, ooops I mean redundancy notices were recieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have heard that unless passenger booking numbers meet the set 6 monthly targets that there will be further redundancies and all staff have been made aware of this. It looks that passenger numbers had not yet picked up prior to christmas, however the post xmas bookings are relied upon more so this year than any other .I can only hope that all there is no more cuts on the table for everyone at air2bob
Please see Peter Long's comments in yesterdays
Sunday Telegraph business section - bookings are
picking up as evidenced by many people's inability
to actually get the holiday they want this coming
summer.
As regards future cost-cutting and/or redundancies
their can be little doubt that when the accountants have tasted blood they really do get
to like the idea - however, the general perception
is that A2k will be short of line pilots at the
beginning of the summer season and that is without
the possible/probable loss of pilots who have
'other irons in the fire' but who have not actually resigned just yet !
