Question UAE to get another airport!

From AFX:

"Wiggins Group PLC said it has, through its PlaneStation subsidiary, entered an agreement to build and operate an international airport in Ajman, an Emirate situated between Umm al Quwain and Sharjah.

This is the group's first airport deal in its proposed Middle Eastern airport network. The proposed development anticipates a shopping centre of approximately 2 mln square feet which will fund in part the cost of the airport.

Wiggins said it will manage the project with a major international financial partner and discussions are currently taking place."

That will leave only Umm al Quwain without an international airport and, with the Fujairah airport so under-used, it doesn't seem to make a great deal of sense. WIth oil money running out, guess they could have put this money to better use.
