Post PEANUT-TOSSING PILOT HIRED

From AvFlash:
PEANUT-TOSSING PILOT HIRED: A Cathay Pacific pilot, sacked after
throwing goobers at Cathay Pacific CEO David Turnbull, is back in the
cockpit -- this time with Virgin Blue. Senior Captain Scott Munro was
summarily relieved of his job back in early 2001 when some of his
wayward peanuts landed on or near Turnbull while both were seated in a
bar. The peanut incident does not distress Virgin Blue owner Sir
Richard Branson. When asked about it, a spokesman for the airline told
the South China Post, "If he threw some peanuts at our senior
executives, certainly if he threw some peanuts at Richard, I think the
worst thing that could happen is that Richard would throw some peanuts
back at him." Isn't that the way life is supposed to be?

Talking

If true, (and I hope it is) then although not a big fan of the wooliepully, well done him. Furthermore, I believe him, chucking peanuts at him would not damage your career.

Now, to advance it, you have to get to know Nicole, preferably intimately!!

Thumbs up

Some time ago I worked with Richard.
On my first day on the job I was advised that he preferred to be called 'Richard', and not Mr. Branson.
It didn't take long to observe and realize in my future weeks on the job that he genuinely cared for the people privileged enough to be working with him.

The Guy is a REAL PERSON and a great deal can be learnt from what he's accomplished in Life personally.
He thinks outside of the box and that in itself will ensure the majority of his ventures are successful.

I wish all the best for his new 'Co-Worker'..

I know "Darby" well; best of luck to him - we flew together many times at CX and he's a great guy. Virgin made a good choice.

The peanut thing....Darbs made a bad choice during tough times; lesson learned. Case closed.

It certainly is.Let`s not forget that this is an industry with some great stories.Sometimes i feel we have gone too over to the darkside (business gripes). This gets back to the fun side of our industry.i can easily see richard throwing peanuts at one of his crew
