LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP) -- An engine of an airliner with 147 people on board exploded while taxiing down the runway for takeoff Sunday. Nobody was hurt, officials said.
The Adria Airways Airbus A-320 was en route to Ohrid, in Macedonia, said airline spokesman Brane Lucovnik. Adria is a Slovenian carrier.
Lucovnik said the explosion in the left engine occurred shortly after the aircraft began gathering speed for takeoff. Authorities were investigating.
