Another B747 for Iraq?
Hello everyone!
I just read an article, which stated that another B747 was given as a present to Iraq by Arab business men.
Anyone has more details on that?

If I'm not mistaken this makes 2 747's Saddam Hussein has now, both as gifts. Anyway, not as if he can go anywhere!
I hear applications are now welcomed for his private pilot position. No pension plan offered....you won't live that long

Sunday's Gulf Daily News printed the following;
A group of Arab businessmen presented Iraqi President Saddam Hussein with his own jumbo jet yesterday, calling it a 'modest contribution' to ending 11 years of UN sanctions.
the delegation comprised of businessmen from Egypt, Morocco, the UAE, Lebanon and Jordan.
Yes you are right this does make the second, the first being a 747SP from Air Gulf Falcon, which is owned by the founder of (the original) Qatar Airways who was also an ex GF pilot.
