Easy Jet (South Africa) operated by BA
New South African low cost airline Kulula.com which means EASY in Zulu is operated by BA franchise partner Comair. Do they plan to paint naartjes on their tails?

Kulula is a new branch of Comair. Comair has still got the BA franchise and it is still the bulk portion of their business. Kulula is just a side venture so to speak. They're operating one of their B727's on the JHB-CPT route, three return flights a day. Not really a conflict of interest in that the idea is that they're targeting a portion of the market that previously would travel by train, bus or road. I suppose they will lose a few passengers from the BA flights to Kulula but over all it dos'nt appear to be affecting the BA flights much. Apparently the Kulula flights are doing really well, with many of the flights being full or close to full since it started on the 1st. Let's see if it lasts. Fares are as low as R430 one way, no lounges, one class seating, any food/ beverages must be bought and so on. so It seems they've done their homework. How long till we see Kulula to Durban?
