Families were forced to sleep on iron benches for up to three nights after Ryanair flights from Charleroi to Prestwick were cancelled two days in a row.

Ryanair says the cancellations were unavoidable.

Controlling the weather is one thing we cannot master yet. Passengers know that FR's customer care ends by giving them a refund. They agree to this before booking by confirming they abide by the terms and conditions of travel.

No sympathy for them here, they knew beforehand what would happen and failed to take out travel insurance which would have sorted them out for these eventualities.

FlyingIrishMan

Are there any insurance companies out there stupid enough to offer travel insurance to FR pax, given the airline's pathetic track record ?
