Monarch's New Image -- First Flight
Monarch's first aircraft in the new identity flew today from Manchester to Tenerife.. .. .First Aircraft in new scheme. .. .Congrats to Monarch for the first rebrand in a long while that actually makes sense and looks good (and will look rather better in some sunshine though! That's Manchester for you!) . .. . . .SFly

Had the pleasure of flying the new colour scheme to TFS yesterday and must say NE looks good, was a bit concerned that it would not suit the slimline 757, Strange though not one comment on the RT! Was expecting a few about wet paint etc! Parked along the line from A300's and 321 etc, certainly makes the old scheme look VERY old! Well done to all concerned in the 'design dept'(?), a good job done.

Well in a point in time where airlines are going "revisionist" and completely wiping their images off the board in favor of some (most of the time) absurd "passenger freindly" design, we can only be thankful that Monarch still sports yellow and darkish (indigo instead of black I am led to believe), and the 'spotty M'. . .. .Monarch have thus far been the only airline to realize that their customer base doesn't care if they have a bright orange or blue fuselage; all they really want is a company with a strong, established, and recognizable identity.. .. .So they still sport the spotty M that has been there for nearly 40 years, because they know people recognize it. . .. .A bit off topic but a theory of mine; as Airtours will insist on their own rediculous name change; would they not do better to keep the basics of the old scheme while adding the MyTravel logo at the front? Would save loads of money in repaints etc. A picture of what it would look like can be seen in This interim scheme.. .. .Anyway, ECAM et al, the new look does 'have class' while still retaining the basic elements that have brought them success (if a paint scheme can bring you success, that is). . .. . . .SFly

Yes, we saw you in TFS, and all the crew agreed that you looked really good. Nice that you kept the spotty M. I hope that our rebrand will be as tasteful, but after the company went for for the shell suit look last time we're none too hopeful.

New Monarch A321 G-OZBE has just arrived from HAM into LTN, and it looks pretty impressive, even if I am a little bias…. .
