Pay: Pay started at a franc equivalent of UK pay - stagnated when the UK pay went up and no amount of representations could change that - even though Geneva is (or was) the second most expensive city in Europe.

Spot on Stan,
Frequently management in waiting or a stepping stone to promotion in many companies. The question is a fair one.
FlapsOne, do you trawl the threads looking to jump down peoples' throats or are you just unaware you are doing it ?

Is there anyway we could get our pivate forum back? I see Duo has/had one and were much smaller than the mighty Orange, just thought it would be nice to chat about the company in a more private manner!

Most expensive city
Doug the Head,
Last time I checked on that Zürich was most expensive, Geneva just behind, London came out about 14% lower and Luton 5% below that - mind you, that was over a year back.

Stan, Orion
I neither bit nor 'jumped down peoples' throats'.
I simply added my comment (informed, because I was involved) to correct an inaccurate posting.
Facts, rather than guesswork, are available via the Balpa CC.
The Balpa (agreed by the company) solution to the whole issue was/is far better than the Swiss 'compensation' arrangement.

Just to answer the original question: yes, us EZS busdrivers did get a compensation due to a significant number of sectors lost to training our UK and German colleages. Not more than fair I would have thought.

Thank you for clearing up this subject. All part of the introduction of a new a/c type and seems fair that people shouldn't loose out on pay.
Moving on, when will we hear about the proposed rostering deal? Nothing on BALPA bb yet.

Don't see a problem with the question at all. Flaps, I have to agree with Stan and Orion Man. Chill out a little and don't be so dismissive of others opinions even if you don't agree with them. You seem to be in the minority here !
If you don't like the thread then don't get involved with it.

Give us strength !
Alternatelaw, EasyBaby, B737NG, Stan Woolley and Orion Man all think there is no harm in asking this question on pprune. You seem to be the only one who does. Are you a moderator or a lawyer ?
As I said, if you don't like the theme of the thread then don't get involved in it. Nuff said.

easybabe
easy forum is still there, if you have it in your favourites, just not listed on menus any more.
Forum was closed because of lack of interest, with most posting now on BALPA forum or 'Inside.ej'.
I am sure pprune forum could be resurrected if only we used it.
